About study programme

The main objective of  master’s  degree program is to prepare students for solving complicated life situations of individuals, families, groups and communities in their social environment.  The program will equip students with the knowledge of management and coordination, as well as the skill of reflecting internal and external factors of social work performance and ability of solving emerging dilemmas.
Based on the Diploma Supplement label, the Degree is recognised within the EU market, where the graduates can find the employment at social and public services.

Study duration: 2 years
Tuition Language: English
Daily/full-time study.
Tuition start: every September
Tuition fees:  € 1 500,- per semester, i.e. €  3 000,- per academic year.
In case of good study results a scholarship of € 500,- per semester available.

Requirements and admission procedure:

by filling in the application form with attachments. Obligatory attachments include:
  • Bachelor´s Degree certificate  - if the applicant has not completed the Bachelor´s Degree prior to the application date, he/she has to submit the study confirmation. The certificate must be submitted by 30th June. More about the recognition of certificates and diplomas HERE;
  • Letter of motivation – explaining why the applicant wants to study the field Social Work at the UHK;
  • Proposal of a dissertation project (especially the dissertation topic, definition of contents, theoretical frame, objectives, methods of elaboration and the list of related literature on the given topic) (the topic can be revised after the commencement of the studies in cooperation with the dissertation supervisor, or possibly redefined if not in accordance with the study focus);
  • Confirmation of the language competence to study in the English language (e.g. university examination, internationally valid certificate).
