Non European Mobilities

Are you interested in spending a semester or an academic year as a visiting student at the University of Hradec Králové? UHK is connected to various international programmes and offers attractive summer schools. Explore our website and ask also your home university about the possibility of scholarships.

Erasmus+ outside Europe (International Credit Mobility)
We have been supporting exchanges of university students and staff within Erasmus+ Partner countries (i.e. a wide range of countries not participating in the standard Erasmus+ Programme) since 2015. We provide incoming foreign students and staff with grants in this scheme too. The specific offer varies every year according to the success of the University's application for funding. An overview of contracts (call 2018) is as follows: Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility. In call 2019 our university obtained grants to following countries: Argentina, Armenia, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Ghana, People's Republic of China, Kenya, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Namibia, Nigeria, Russian Federation, Taiwan, Thailand, Zambia.

The Fulbright Commission is a Czech-American governmental organization founded with the mission to enhance educational, scientific and cultural exchanges through scholarship programmes and advising and information services.

Quebec universities
UHK is involved in the BCI Student Exchange Programme with Quebec universities. This programme allows a student enrolled in one of Quebec’s universities to study at UHK for up to a year while paying tuition at his or her home institution, at which he or she remains enrolled. The same applies to a student enrolled in UHK who wants to come to study in Quebec.

Freemovers
The status of a freemover is designed for students who want to study at a university in another country and do not have the opportunity to use an exchange programme or other funding (e.g. Erasmus+ Programme, cooperation agreements, etc.). A freemover can travel to any country in the world and choose any university. But the disadvantage is that he/she has to arrange everything himself/herself.

Freemovers travelling for a study period to the University of Hradec Králové must address our University by themselves and both the University of Hradec Králové and the home faculty/department must agree with that study stay. It is the decision of individual faculties of UHK whether they admit freemovers or not.

Ask your home university if you can receive any scholarship.

Summer Schools
Do you have a plan for summer? All our faculties offer professionally focused summer schools. Meet new friends from all over the world, broaden your knowledge and get up to 6 ECTS. Check our summer schools and get the summer to remember for a lifetime.

Faculty scholarships
Faculties of the University of Hradec Králové offer their students (of all cycles and types of study programs) scholarships. We offer scholarships for studies, internships, research, summer schools, etc.

If you find mobility that is not financially covered, check with your home university if it can do the same for you and give you any financial support.

Sometimes our faculties offer scholarships also for foreign students studying at UHK. Contact the international office of the respective faculty.

In addition to the above-mentioned sources of funding you can take advantage of other scholarships and contributions from funds and other institutions that focus on supporting activities related to international cooperation and understanding or supporting talented students in a particular field. When choosing the right option for you, make sure that there are no restrictions on the compatibility of financial support from that particular source with the financial support from other sources. (Especially Erasmus+ Programme wants to avoid double funding from other European sources.)
