Other European Mobility Fundings

Are you interested in spending a semester or an academic year as a visiting student at the University of Hradec Králové? Do you want to know more options than Erasmus+ Programme? UHK is connected to various European programmes and offers attractive summer schools. Explore our website and ask also your home university about the possibility of scholarships.

CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies) is a central European university exchange programme focused on regional cooperation within the network of universities. The CEEPUS Agreement has been signed by Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, North Macedonia, Austria, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia. The University of Prishtina, Prizren and Peja in Kosovo are participating as well. Check out the website of the programme and find out if your home university is a CEEPUS partner of the University of Hradec Králové.

If your university is not a CEEPUS partner of our University you can also join the programme individually (as a freemover). Contact the international office of the respective faculty of UHK.

Visegrad scholarship

Master and post-Master scholars and researchers who are citizens of the Visegrad countries  or citizens of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine can apply for scholarship to study at UHK.

AKTION is a program to support bilateral cooperation in the tertiary sector throughout scholarships and cooperation projects between the Czech Republic and Austria.

DAAD provides information on study and research from Germany.

EEA Grants support study visits and project co-operation with Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Freemovers
The status of a freemover is designed for students who want to study at a university in another country and do not have the opportunity to use any exchange programme or other funding (e.g. Erasmus+ Programme, cooperation agreements, etc.). A freemover can travel to any country of the world and choose any university. But the disadvantage is that he/she has to arrange everything himself/herself.

Freemovers travelling for a study period to the University of Hradec Králové must address our University by themselves and both the University of Hradec Králové and the home faculty/department must agree with that study stay. It is the decision of individual faculties of UHK whether they admit freemovers or not.

Ask your home university if you can receive any scholarship.

Summer schools
Do you have a plan for summer? All our faculties offer professionally focused summer schools. Meet new friends from all over the world, broaden your knowledge and get up to 6 ECTS. Check our summer schools and get the summer to remember for a lifetime.

Faculty scholarships
Faculties of the University of Hradec Králové offer their students (of all cycles and types of study programmes) scholarships. We offer scholarships for studies, internships, research, summer schools, etc.

If you find mobility that is not financially covered, check with your home university if it can do the same for you and give you any financial support.

Sometimes our faculties offer scholarships also for foreign students studying at UHK. Contact the international office of the respective faculty.

In addition to the above mentioned sources of funding you can take advantage of other scholarships and contributions from funds and other institutions that focus on supporting activities related to the international cooperation and understanding or on supporting talented students in a particular field. When choosing the right option for you, make sure that there are no restrictions on the compatibility of the financial support from that particular source with the financial support from other sources. (Especially Erasmus+ Programme wants to avoid double funding from other European sources.)
