Ancient Biomolecules: Genomics, Proteomics and Pathogen Detection in Historical Samples
Department of Biology, Group of Experimental Biology
Explore biological information preserved in historical and highly degraded samples. The research combines molecular biology, genomics, proteomics and bioinformatics, with a focus on DNA and proteins recovered from limited and irreplaceable biological material.
The position offers substantial scientific independence and the opportunity to develop original research questions within a growing research group.

Cosmology, Modified Gravity and Gravitational Physics
Department of Physics
Conduct independent and collaborative research in theoretical cosmology, modified gravity and gravitational physics. Possible research directions include black holes, gravitational waves, dark matter models, gravitational lensing and observational signatures of physics beyond general relativity.
The position also aims to strengthen international cooperation with leading European research groups and networks in cosmology and gravitational-wave physics.

Bioorganic Chemistry: Modulators of Mitochondrial Enzymes in Neurodegeneration
Department of Chemistry
Join research focused on compounds targeting mitochondrial enzymes relevant to neurodegeneration. The project combines molecular design, organic synthesis, compound characterization and biochemical and other in vitro evaluation.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop an independent research programme within the broader scientific scope of the research group.

Biochemistry: Study of PDZ Domains
Department of Chemistry
Contribute to experimental biochemical research focused on PDZ domains, recombinant proteins and molecular interactions. The work will involve protein expression and purification, biochemical characterization, in vitro interaction studies and work with cell lines.
The position combines hands-on laboratory research with opportunities to develop and modernize biochemical methods and establish an independent research programme.

Analytical Chemistry: Metabolomic Analysis
Department of Chemistry
Participate in metabolomic research using advanced chromatographic and mass spectrometric techniques. The work will focus primarily on LC-MS and SFC-MS analysis, sample preparation, analytical data processing and the development and validation of analytical methods.
The position offers opportunities for collaboration with internal and external research partners as well as for the development of an independent research programme.
