Academic Senate

The Academic Senate is a self-governing body of the faculty comprising of two chambers: Chamber of members of the academic staff (Employees´ Chamber) and Chamber of students (Students´ Chamber). The Academic Senate of the FoS UHK is responsible for its activities to the academic community, it elects a candidate for the post of the dean of the Faculty, and elects and recalls representatives of the FoS in the Council of Universities. The Academic Senate of the FoS UHK is further regulated by the Rules of Procedure of the Academic Senate of the FoS UHK.

The Academic Senate of the FoS UHK was elected on 16-17 October 2019 and the Board was elected on 20 November 2019.

Scientific Board 

The Scientific Board defines and discusses the Faculty's long-term plans, approves study programmes and is in charge of habilitation procedures and professor degree appointment procedures. The Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Faculty is the Dean of the Faculty and one third of the members are from outside the University's academic community.

The composition of the Scientific Board of the FoS UHK according to the Higher Education Act No. 111/98 Coll. was approved by the Academic Senate of the FoS UHK on 15 May 2019.

Disciplinary Committee

The Disciplinary Committee deals with disciplinary offences of the Faculty´s students, and its mission and competences are defined by law.

The composition of the Disciplinary Committee was approved by the Academic Senate of the FoS UHK at its meeting on 29 January 2019.

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board of the Faculty is a methodological guarantee of the content and quality of publications proposed by the Faculty for the editorial plan of the publishing house. It also discusses the approval of the publication of a piece of work by Gaudeamus publishing house.
