VISA Application

The application forms are available only at the embassy and cannot be copied. You have to visit the embassy and complete the form there with the help of their personnel.

The documents you need to submit are as follows:

Visa over 90 days

 

  • Letter of Acceptance (in English and Czech) provided by the  hosting university as an original document is sent to the applicant
  • Confirmation of guaranteed accommodation in the Czech Republic (in Czech) provided by the university is sent to the applicant.
  • Confirmation from your bank that you have sufficient financial means to fund your period of study in the Czech Republic. Conditions at the website of the Czech Ministry of Interior 
  • Photographs (size 3,5 x 4,5 cm – passport photos) cca 4 pieces
  • Statement of Criminal record in your home country!

 

Please check all visa details and conditions with the Consulate where you apply – the conditions can differ from country to country.

Your passport validity must exceed your planned departure by at least three months.


Important

Visa applications must be submitted to the Czech Consulate at least 3 months before the planned arrival.

Please note that it is necessary to submit all the above-listed documents to the Consulate. The documents are considered by the Immigration Police in the Czech Republic and if something is missing or a document is not translated into Czech, the visa is rejected! 

Before arriving in the Czech Republic, you should have comprehensive medical insurance arranged, the only provider legally entitled to offer this is the General Health Insurance Company (Vseobecna zdravotni pojistovna
