UHK Welcomes H.E. Raveesh Kumar, Ambassador of India

The University of Hradec Králové was honoured to welcome H.E. Raveesh Kumar, Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic, during his official visit to the historical city of Hradec Králové. He was accompanied by Ms. Gowri Shaiva, Public Diplomacy Coordinator.

Throughout his visit, Ambassador Kumar met with representatives of the city, academia, and industry to explore new opportunities for strengthening cooperation between India and the Czech Republic.

At UHK, the Ambassador held discussions with Rector Prof. Jan Kříž on student and staff mobility, the development of institutional partnerships between UHK and universities in India, and, last but not least, opportunities to welcome more full-time degree-seeking students from India.

Lenka Badinska, Head of the International Office, introduced the University and highlighted the advantages it offers to international students. The Ambassador also expressed his appreciation for the high standard of accommodation available in the University’s halls of residence.

His Excellency expressed the Embassy’s readiness to support prospective students from India who are interested in studying at UHK and to help them navigate the admissions process.

We are also very grateful for the thoughtful gifts presented to UHK, including a work of art reflecting the rich cultural heritage of one of India’s regions and a fascinating selection of books on India, which will be featured in the University Library. His Excellency also signed the University’s memory book.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ambassador Kumar and Ms. Gowri Shaiva for their inspiring visit and we look forward to developing new opportunities between UHK and its partners in India.
