Student Card

An obligation of each student is to have a valid student card. Each UHK student may have only one ID card. There are two types of cards from which you can choose yours.

  1. The student card of the UHK with the ISIC license
It is a multifunctional card, resp. a combination of two ID cards: an international ISIC student card and a UHK student card.
Only students of full-time studies who qualify for its issue can obtain the UHK card with the ISIC license (hereinafter referred to as ISIC). The ISIC card is issued by UHK in cooperation with GTS ALIVE s.r.o. and it is also activated for an extended range of services outside UHK – you can find the information at www.isic.cz.
  2. UHK student card
It is intended for full-time UHK students and above all for UHK students with a combined form of studies. It is issued by UHK.

Dormitory

The University of Hradec Králové has its own Halls of Residence for its students. However, the places are very limited and it is not guaranteed that you will get a place there.
In case you would apply for dormitory accommodation and got a vacancy, you would be staying in the Halls of Residence "Palachovy koleje". Rooms are situated in flats, each consisting of two 2-bed or 3-bed rooms, kitchen, bathroom, and separate toilet. You would pay approx. 120-150 CZK (approximately 5-7 EUR) per day. You would share the room with one other person or with two persons, and the flat with three or five other persons, depending on the type of room/flat you will be living in. Places are assigned by the dormitory personnel and cannot be chosen by the student.
