Student Accommodation

Accommodation of our students is a priority for us, we care about your satisfaction.

Students submit an electronic application for accommodation on the ISKaM web interface – http://ubytovani.uhk.cz every year. Applications must be submitted within the deadlines set out in the Accommodation Schedule. The Accommodation Schedule also sets the arrival dates for the new academic year every year and specifies the requirements for the payment of the reservation or accommodation deposit and of the accommodation fee for the halls of residence.

The accommodation for students is based on an accommodation contract with a minimum stay of 1 month. Accommodation prices are set according to the current price list, they are differentiated according to the number of students in the room and the modernization already carried out.

Moving to Another Room

A student may request to be moved to another room. He/she must do so in writing or by means of an online application. The condition is payment of the moving fee according to the valid price list and submission of the confirmed form Confirmation of Cleaning at the reception. Whether or not the application will be satisfied is determined by the management of the halls of residence.

Cleaning Form

At the end of his/her stay or moving to another room, the student must leave his/her place tidy, clean and in order. For that, it is used Confirmation of Cleaning form.

If defects, damage or deficiencies are found, the student must rectify or pay damages.  

I Want to be Accommodated

If you are interested in accommodation, fill in the online application form on the ISKAM web interface.

Apart from the deadline for submitting applications, it is possible to contact the halls of residence office by email at koleje@uhk.cz (room reservations will be possible only if there is free capacity).

I Want to Accommodate a Visitor in my Room

The accommodation of a visitor is possible only in a hotel-type room.

Please find more information in the section „Hotel accommodation“.

The accommodation of a visitor in the student´s room is not allowed.

I Want to Extend the Period of Accommodation

A student who has already signed an accommodation contract for the whole academic year and decides to stay in the halls of residence during the summer holidays has the opportunity to extend this contract. In this case, please visit the halls of residence office to make an amendment to the accommodation contract with you.

I Want to Shorten the Period of Accommodation

A student who has already signed an accommodation contract and later requests to shorten the period of accommodation is obliged to send us (by e-mail) or hand over the Accommodation at the halls of residence reception.  

In the case of termination/interruption of studies at the UHK or departure for student mobility for studies abroad, it is possible to make an Agreement on the Termination of Accommodation.

Hotel Accommodation

Hotel-type accommodation can be used by guests and staff of the University, or by students staying for less than 1 month. Prices are set in the price list of the hotel accommodation.
There are available flats 2+1 and 3+1 for the hotel accommodation where are single, double and triple rooms prepared for guests. Variants of the hotel accommodation are as follows:

• The flat consists of 2 single rooms and one triple room
• The flat consists of 2 double rooms
• The flat consists of 2 triple rooms

The flats are equipped with private bathroom (toilet + bathroom separately) and kitchen where there is a fridge with freezer, electric cooker with two hot plates, microwave and a jug kettle. In-room amenities include sanitary facilities (bring your own towels). All hotel rooms have Wi-fi or wired internet connection (bring the cable with you) for guests.

Booking

Accommodation can be booked at koleje@uhk.cz at least 1 working day in advance. You can count on the accommodation only after confirmation by e-mail, which is sent only on working days. The accommodation cannot be ordered by phone, telephone contact is just for information.

When booking accommodation, always state:

• Name and surname (in case of foreign guests also sex),
• Date/dates of accommodation including the number of nights,
• Telephone contact.

If you book accommodation for other people too, you may be required to pay for the persons for whom you book a bed. If a man and a woman are accommodated, please specify if you require shared or separate accommodation. If you require a cancellation, you must contact us by e-mail.

Check-In: 12.00 noon–10.00 p.m.
Check-Out: until 10:00
Payment: by credit card or in cash at the reception (we only accept CZK)

We have the right to cancel the reservation for organizational and operational reasons. We reserve the right to change the price in case of change of booking.

Conditions of hotel Accommodation

Halls of Residence Services

You can use or borrow for free:

• study room (block A basement)

• common room (block A basement)

• A quilt and a pillow, including bed linen (bed linen is changed once a month),
• Clothes dryer,
• Use of laundry dryer (at the E entrance),
• Piano (first and second lessons).

There is also a playground on the campus for leisure time.

Students can borrow the following for a fee:

• Washing machines and clothes dryers (at the E entrance),
• Irons,
• A set of crockery for preparation of basic dishes (only whole sets),
• Table tennis.

Students can use a scanner, copier and printer to work with documents in the reception area. The fee for these services is drawn from the student card.
