E-mail

There are several ways to use Internet mail in the UHK network:

Office 365

UHK employees and students use the Office 365 mail cloud solution.

To log in to the Office 365 web mail interface:https://outlook.com/uhk.cz

Other instructions regarding Office 365, see: Office-365.

Exchange Local Servers

A procedure for users who use one of the mailboxes at the university mail server (e.g. during courses):

The easiest way is to access by means of the Microsoft Outlook application. This connection can be used after logging in the UHK network and also outside it via Outlook Anywhere service.

The second option is reading mail using Outlook Web Access (hereinafter only OWA). This is a web application that allows you to work with Outlook folders using a web browser. OWA can be found at http://posta.uhk.cz. When you open the page, the browser will ask you for login, password and domain. (In case you are only asked for login and password, you must enter login in the form of "uhk\login".) OWA works from anywhere on the Internet and securely over SSL, so you can read mail from anywhere you have a connection on the Internet.

Access within the portal

After logging into the portal you will find outputs from intranet applications and also your mail in your profile. The portal is connected to Outlook Web Access, so the same rules apply as in the previous case. In addition, if you are using Internet Explorer, you do not need to re-enter your username and password to view mail in the portal.

Outside the school, you can also connect to your mail by connecting to a Microsoft Exchange server, or by using POP3, IMAP a SMTP protocols (note that protocols are only supported via SSL!). The mailbox uses the same username and password as when logging into the network.
