Meet the Ambassadors Contact person

At its core, the programme aims to cultivate a vibrant global community within the university, promoting intercultural dialogue, friendship, and cooperation. Selected through a rigorous process, International Ambassadors are exceptional individuals who embody the spirit of cultural exchange, leadership, and open-mindedness. They serve as welcoming faces for new international students, offering guidance, support, and insights into life both on and off campus.

The programme's objectives

• Cultural Exchange: International Ambassadors facilitate the exchange of cultures by organizing events, workshops, and seminars that celebrate diversity and educate others about different traditions, languages, and customs.
• Integration Assistance: They play a pivotal role in assisting new international students with their transition to university life, providing practical information, advice, and a sense of belonging.
• Global Networking: Ambassadors connect students with peers from around the world, fostering a network that extends beyond the campus and enriching their international experience.
• Leadership Development: The programme empowers Ambassadors to develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills by planning and executing events, promoting cross-cultural understanding, and engaging in diplomatic activities.
• Promotion of Internationalization: Through their activities, Ambassadors contribute to the internationalization of the university, enhancing its reputation as a hub for global education and cultural diversity.
• Friendship and Support: Ambassadors build lasting friendships and support networks that extend across borders, offering a sense of camaraderie and solidarity to all students.

The International Ambassador Programme creates a positive feedback loop, as participating students not only benefit from the guidance and assistance of the Ambassadors but also learn from one another. This intercultural exchange enriches everyone's academic journey and broadens their horizons, creating a more inclusive and harmonious campus environment.

Charline Monnier

After my first experience as an intern in the chemistry department of the Faculty of Science UHK, I returned to do my PhD. I am very interested in biochemistry, so the toxicology program was a real opportunity for me.

Another motivation for this project was the city that I enjoy so much. Hradec Králové is a good combination of a city and the countryside, making it very peaceful and pleasant.

I enjoy studying at the UHK because it offers quality teaching and a memorable student life. As a student, I’ve been enjoying different events organized by UHK’s student organizations almost every week. That way, I get to know students from different international backgrounds and cultures. Nazdar! My name's Andrés and I'm originally from Venezuela. I first heard of UHK through friends, and I had the opportunity to visit Hradec Králové and discover UHK in 2022 while on holiday. I found both a beautiful city and an incredible community. After my visit, I started making all the arrangements to pursue my studies here, which is what I currently do! At the Philosophical Faculty, I'm currently studying political science and I also cooperate as a Spanish teacher! UHK has brought me nothing but remarkable experiences, both on personal and academic levels. I have been able to discover plenty of cultures and people altogether with an exceptional academic programme in the very heart of Europe, and I am nothing but excited to see what's to come! I am happy to be part of the International Ambassadors programme, for I believe people should definitely hear that such a house of studies exists and that it is in Czechia!
