    Increasing scientific research competencies of Multi-disciplinary Scientific Research Team in Intercultural Dialogue

    Institute of Social Work submitted the application form to the Norway programme „CZ07 - Scholarship Programme and Bilateral Scholarship Programme“ in 2015 and was succesfull. This project is completely supported by Norway grants.

    About the project:
    The goal of the project is to develop and support the multidisciplinary scientific research team during the programme mobility. Through the mobility the researches will have the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge in other research areas. The mobilities will be focused on these topics:
     
    • Intercultural Dialogue: Growing ethnic and cultural diversity combined with inclusive democratic participation leads to questioning of cultural givens; Contemporary Welfare State Modernization Processes; Child protection; Religion; Migrants; Legal framework of health care services in relation to human rights protection;
    • Responsibility of medical professional and provider of health care services: dual loyalty of helping profession - medical and social worker; Immigration policy and its impact on human rights.
     
    Through the mobilities the researches will have the opportunity to increase their scientific research competencies, to continue the successful cooperation with Norwegian partners and possibly to define common scientific and research topics as a subject for future joint projects.
     
    About the main partner:
    Lillehammer University College has a long tradition as education provider and is part of the Norwegian public higher education system. LUC is situated just outside the city of Lillehammer and has approximately 5000 students and an academic and administrative staff of 380 employees. All on one campus. Lillehammer UC has a strategic focus on social sciences and media: This comprises public policy, media studies, international relations, history, film and television studies, economics and business administration, management and organisational studies, tourism, law, sports, psychology, sociology, cultural projects, child welfare, general and special education, social work, social education, welfare and social studies.
    The college is divided in four faculties (Faculty of Social Sciences; Faculty of Education and Social Work; Faculty of Economics and Organizational Sciences and Faculties of Television Studies) and The Norwegian Film School.

    • Increasing scientific research competencies of Multi-disciplinary Scientific Research Team - long-term research stay in Lillehammer
     
    • Shadowing of colleagues on research and teaching activities at the Lillehammer University College - Faculty of Education and Social Work with research interest: The issue of care for the elderly and helpless people at home, Burn-out among social workers, Comprehensive home care for the terminally ill and family research.
     
    • Realization informal talks with academic teachers and students about topics the care for the elderly and helping professions, burn-out among social workers, comprehensive home care for the terminally ill.
     
    • Observing excellent reasearch at the Lillehammer University Collegue - Faculty of Education and Social Work (a detailed schedule of activities can be found in attachment)
     
     
    Output of the key aktivity:
    - fully realized reasearch stay and shadowing at the Lillehammer University College
    - enhance cooperation between Lillehammer University College and University of Hradec Kralove – especially Institute of Social Work and Faculty of Education and Social Work
    - enhance cooperation to continue research of a multi-disciplinary scientific research team from Institute of Social Work
    - gaining practical experience in teaching and research at the Lillehammer University College - Faculty of Education and Social Work
