International Students Join the Ice Hockey Spirit in Hradec Králové

International students are becoming an active part of local life not only in classrooms, but also in the stands of the ice hockey arena. Over the past months, students from all over the world have been regularly attending Mountfield HK matches, proudly supporting the local team and immersing themselves in one of the strongest traditions of Czech culture – ice hockey.
For many international students, visiting a Czech ice hockey match is a completely new experience. The fast-paced game, passionate fans, and electric atmosphere make every match unforgettable. Thanks to this unique opportunity, students are discovering local customs, gaining insight into Czech sports traditions, and feeling more connected to the city they now call home.
Supporting Mountfield HK has also become a way for international students to build friendships with Czech students and local fans. Cheering together, celebrating goals, and sharing emotions during matches help break cultural barriers and create a strong sense of belonging. Ice hockey has proven to be a powerful tool for integration and community building.
