The last IAB term of office ended in 2025, and the current board composition is valid until 2028.
The International Advisory Board is a five-member advisory body of the Rector, and the main activity of the IAB is to provide consulting with a focus on the following areas:
- Support of the strategic direction of the University and fulfillment of the strategic goals of the UHK;
- Evaluation of the quality of educational activities, in particular, the quality of doctoral studies;
- Evaluation of the scientific and research development of the University and optimization of the internal evaluation system of the UHK as a research organization;
- Evaluation of the system of postdoctoral students' involvement at the UHK;
- Evaluation of the internationalisation of the University and support for the development of its international cooperation;
- Support of the University activities in its third role;
- Promotion of creativity, entrepreneurship, and cooperation with practice at the UHK;
- Share good practice and experience with foreign universities.

Prof. John R. Anchor, PhD
John Anchor is Professor Emeritus of International Strategy. Previously, he held posts as Associate Dean (International), Head of Department, Principal Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer at the University of Huddersfield. John was responsible for the development and oversight of education and research partnerships for the Huddersfield Business School from 2016 to 2024. He also worked with the International Office to recruit international students to the Business School and oversaw the academic and social experience of those students in Huddersfield. John has undertaken many international research and education projects. John has received ten awards (medals) in recognition of his role in developing research and education partnerships in Central and Eastern Europe.

Prof. Teresita Maria Sevilla Peñuela, PhD
Teresita Sevilla Peñuela is a Teaching Fellow and Course Lead at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, specialising in youth socialisation, gender equality, sexuality, and public health. A sociologist with a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast, she has led over 20 research projects and held senior academic roles in Colombia, including Dean at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali. She has published widely and consulted for ministries and UN agencies. Since 2020, she has served on the International Advisory Board of the University of Hradec Králové, supporting international collaboration and curriculum development.

Assoc. Prof. Anders Fällström, PhD
Anders Fällström is the Rector (Vice Chancellor) of Mid Sweden University and holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Umeå University. He has extensive experience in academic leadership, research strategy, and international collaboration. His research focuses on complex analysis and holomorphic functions. He has held academic roles in Sweden, the USA, and Russia, and actively contributes to research policy and university–society partnerships.

Prof. Lokesh Joshi, PhD
Lokesh Joshi is Stokes Professor of Glycosciences at the University of Galway and former Vice-President for Research and Innovation. He has led major university-wide research and innovation strategies, securing over €700 million in competitive funding. His research spans glycosciences, microbial pathology, and biomedical innovation, with applications ranging from medical devices to pathogen decontamination. He is the founder of Aquila Bioscience and has extensive international experience, including collaborations with the EU, NATO, and ESA. Professor Joshi has published over 170 peer-reviewed papers and mentored dozens of researchers globally.

Assoc. Prof. Anna Maria Perissutti, PhD
Anna-Maria Perissutti is an Associate Professor of Czech Language and Literature at the University of Udine. Her research ranges from Slavic linguistics (in which she works within the usage-based constructionist theoretical framework, with a special focus on indefiniteness, quantifiers, and the relation between aspect and actionality), to textual linguistics and literary translation (she has translated into Italian Czech classics such as Karel Čapek, contemporary authors such as Daniela Hodrová and Ivan Wernisch, as well as philosophers such as Jan Patočka). Her recent publications include the volume Classi di verbi cechi tra semantica e sintassi (Aracne Editrice, 2022).
