Gallery P

Gallery P is a project of students of the Faculty of Education, University of Hradec Králové. The origin of the exhibition activity was connected with the relocation of the Department of Art, Visual Culture and Textile Studies to the reconstructed Hradec Králové brewery in 2008. In addition to the effort to make full use of the new premises, the provisions of Gallery P is to display students work, which is somewhat hidden and inconspicuous, and its existence is often unknown at all.

Gallery P presents works of art that are created not only in practical courses at the university but also on the students' own initiative, from the desire to express themselves on an artistic level. Students want to show the works in the light to get out of anonymity and find an audience. Only in this way is it possible for it to become an art.

Gallery P is an experimental exhibition space that longs for a discussion on artistic creation. In addition to the Na Soutoku Gallery T, it provides an opportunity for the academic community to meet the public and functions as another cultural scene of the university, ie, Hradec Králové and its surroundings. On the other hand, Gallery P does not only serve as an experiment, as it has a clear and defined link to the school itself.

The exhibition program of Gallery P is prepared and consulted with experts by a group of students of the Department of Art, Visual Culture and Textile Studies, Faculty of Education, UHK.
