Wireless connection - eduroam
Wi-Fi network of UHK is connected to the international project eduroam. The project is under the umbrella of CESNET within the Czech Republic. This project allows users to connect to the Wi-Fi network across all institutions participating in the project. For specific connection options outside UHK, consult the specific organization's website, which can be found in the list of connected institutions.
Connection to the Eduroam network is also available at Hradec Králové Main Railway Station. It is prepared for the coverage of other stations and other locations. A current list is always available on the coverage map.
Connecting to a wi-fi in UHK buildings
To be able to connect to eduroam wi-fi network at UHK you have to a create secondary account. This account is used only for connecting to eduroam.
Creating the secondary account for connecting to eduroam

If needed, you can visit the IT department at your faculty where they will help you and create your secondary account.
On the https://wifi.uhk.cz/ website log in using your UHK log-in details (uživatelské jméno is log-in without @uhk.cz, heslo means password, then click on the red button „Přihlásit“). After you log in, your secondary account for connecting to eduroam wi-fi is created.

Is randomly generated combination of letters, numbers and special letters that you can see on the https://wifi.uhk.cz/ website.
Connecting to eduroam wi-fi
After creating your secondary account you can connect to eduroam wi-fi. For connecting you have to use newly created log-in details.

Password generated on the https://wifi.uhk.cz/.
Your default UHK credentials might not work for connecting to eduroam.
After creation of the secondary account, we recommend you to:
- log out of https://wifi.uhk.cz/,
- close your browser window.
