Connecting at dormitories

Own computer with a network card allowing connection of a UTP-5 with an RJ-45 connector and the operating system supporting IEEE 802.1X protocol authentication is the condition for the connection to the computer network at the A to G entrances. The connection speed is 100/1000 MBps according to the selected network card and the switch used.

It is necessary to have a valid user account in the UHK domain for connection. After signing the rules, you will receive instructions for setting up a network connection in Windows. If you are unable to connect, contact your network administrator.

You also have the opportunity to purchase a cable for connecting the PC and the socket at the reception. We recommend measuring this distance before your first visit, saving your time and the time of the staff of the halls of residence.

Wi-Fi

A Wi-Fi wireless connection is available at entrances A to G. The connection to the network is the same as the connection in the other buildings of the UHK. For instructions, go to the wireless connection - eduroam section.

Your network administrator (office location and office hours are on the notice board) will help you with the selection of the receiver and the Internet connection.
