VPN connection

FortiGate VPN service remote access to computer network of UHK,

Everyone with UHK user account can use this connection.

User is obliged to fulfill these requirements:

• Windows OS version on computer you use for connecting to UHK VPN server must be supported by Microsoft with installed lates service packs and hotfixes. You can also connect from Linux OS, you also must have up-to-date version with latest updates and fixes installed.
• You have to have installed and updated antivirus software on your computer.
• You must have personal firewall running on your computer.
• Every user of VPN is responsible for any damage caused by misuse of their user name and password. It is important, because of this, for you to have strong password that you will not share with anyone.

Using option of saving password for VPN into your system is not advised.

If you have any issue with connecting to VPN, check current guide on this page. Use latest version of VPN client. Client is regularly updated with security updates and it can happen that older VPN client will not work correctly.

It is possible to connect to VPN only from internet, dormitory and eduroam networks.
