A Step Towards Academic Collaboration

Her Excellency Elita Kuzma, the Latvian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, visited UHK to discuss the continuation and expansion of academic ties between UHK and prestigious Latvian universities. Elita KuzmaThe ambassador's visit underscored the importance of international academic collaboration, particularly in fostering educational opportunities beyond major capital cities.

During the visit, discussions focused on existing partnerships and the potential for new cooperatives. The ambassador expressed a willingness to facilitate contact with a notable regional university in Liepāja, which will be the European Capital of Culture in 2027.

"We are always open to new cooperation. I was glad to hear that Her Excellency is willing to mediate contact with a growing regional university in Liepāja. We are, logically, keen on developing higher education in regions outside capital cities and centers. I'm sincerely looking forward to further partnership possibilities," comments UHK Rector Kamil Kuča.

UHK also welcomed His Excellency Pasi Olavi Tuominen, Ambassador of Finland to the Czech Republic, along with his intern, Juho Majanen.
