Argentine Ambassador Claudio Javier Rozencwaig Visits UHK

The University of Hradec Králové welcomed H.E. Claudio Javier Rozencwaig, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the Czech Republic, accompanied by Paulina Poletti, Second Secretary at the Embassy. Held in a friendly atmosphere, the visit provided an opportunity to discuss the further development of existing cooperation and meeting with the students.
The guests were welcomed at the Philosophical faculty by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Rector´s legal representative, Leona Stašová, and the Head of Rector´s Office Mr. Jakub Novák. Together with her colleagues from the International Office, the Vice-Rector presented the University and its faculties. She also highlighted UHK’s recent achievement in the prestigious Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR).
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and the organisation of the meeting. He emphasised his interest in strengthening cooperation with Czech universities and noted that he had looked forward to visiting Hradec Králové and UHK for a long time.
Existing cooperation with Argentinian partners and opportunities for its further development were presented by the Dean of Philosophical faculty, Jan Prouza, and the Vice-Dean for International Affairs, Stephanie Inge Rudwick. They noted that UHK welcomes a significant number of international students from Latin America. The discussion focused on strengthening current partnerships and exploring ways to encourage more Argentinian students and academics to study or participate in teaching, research at UHK.
The programme also included a lecture for students that was moderated by Mgr. Barbora Vališková, an expert in Latin American studies. The students actively participated in the debate with the Ambassador who enthusiastically praised the lively exchange of views.
The visit concluded with a shared lunch, which also provided an opportunity to discuss more informal topics—including Argentina’s world-famous football tradition.
