Non-standard optimization and decision-making methods in management processes

Faculty of Informatics and Management UHK

Project Description

The research consists of two phases. The first phase of the project focuses on decision and optimization methods using generalized arithmetic operations and fuzzy operations, which are connected with discrete events systems (DES). The issues to be investigated are topical decision problems and steady states in DES. The processes occurring in the intelligent environment will be controlled by multi-criterial decision-making (MCDM) methods based on environmental feedback. Location problems with limited resources will be studied through applications of simulation models oriented to prediction and managerial decision support. The research in the second phase focuses on new approaches to MCDM, particularly on fuzzy weak orders, pre-orderings, lattices, and transitive structures, and also on matrices of Atanassov`s intuitionistic fuzzy sets. The research is a continuous follow-up of the GAČR research project No. 14-0424S. Its results will be published in impacted papers and in a planned monograph published by an internationally recognized editor (Springer).
