Medical devices development as an effective investment for public and private entities

Faculty of Informatics and Management UHK, Faculty of Science UHK

Project Description

The aim of the project is to automate the processes related to the evaluation of the market potential and the cost-effectiveness of the development of new medical devices. The assessment will take into account both health and technological factors, such as the effectiveness of the given medical device, the impact on quality of life, the costs, the size of the market, the risk level, and the rate of return of the investments. The implementation of the project will provide partial documentation for institutions and companies involved in the research and development of medical devices. The research results will be usable in decision-making processes in the sphere of investment expenditures and risk assessment. Because of the expected existence of varied scenarios, a web application will be the output of the project.
