The reaction of UHK regarding today's evacuation of the Na Soutoku campus

Author: Jakub Novák, UHK spokesman

Today at 4:20 PM, the search of the UHK buildings was concluded. The evacuation of the university campus was a response to the police announcement that the threat was related to a UHK student. These pieces of information were unequivocally disproven. The identified student, who did nothing wrong, can now benefit from the intervention care provided by the Czech Police. We remain in contact with the Czech Police regarding the morning threatening email.

If the evacuation affected you and you haven't had the chance to retrieve your belongings from the UHK campus buildings, after 6:00 PM today, all items will be transported to the locker room in Building A, where they can be picked up. The operation of all buildings and all educational and other activities will resume as usual from Tuesday, March 12, 2024, following the regular schedule. All steps and further measures are being consulted with the Czech Police, who have confirmed this procedure to us.

If you feel emotionally affected by today's events, do not hesitate to contact the Czech Police via the 158 helpline. They will connect you with specialized interventionists who monitored today's situation and are ready to assist you.

We thank everyone involved for their excellent cooperation with the Integrated Rescue System, and we regret that you were exposed to such an extreme situation.
