Internal Evaluation Board

  1. The Internal Evaluation Board (hereinafter referred to as the “Board”) is a self-governing academic body[1]of the University of Hradec Králové (hereinafter referred to as “UHK”), whose activity supports and develops quality assurance and internal evaluation of the quality of educational, scientific and research, development and innovation, artistic or other creative activities of the UHK (hereinafter referred to as “creative activity”) as well as of related activities.

    The competence of the Board is stipulated by the Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education and on Amendments and Supplements to Other Acts (Higher Education Act), as amended (hereinafter referred to as the “Act”), by the UHK Statute (hereinafter referred to as the “Statute”) and by other internal regulations of the UHK, in particular by the Rules of the System of Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation of the Quality of the UHK (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules of Quality Assurance and Internal Evaluation of the Quality”) and by these Rules of the UHK Internal Evaluation Board (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”).

  2. The Board, in particular, within the scope set out in paragraphs 1 and 2:
    1. Approves the draft rules of the system of the quality assurance of educational, creative and related activities and quality internal assessment of the of educational, creative and related activities of the UHK submitted by the Chairman of the Board before submitting the proposal to the Academic Senate of the UHK;
    2. Manages the internal evaluation of the quality of educational, creative and related activities of the UHK,
    3. Draws up a draft report on the internal evaluation of the UHK and its amendments before submitting them to the Scientific Board and the Academic Senate of the UHK,
    4. Submits proposals for the development of the quality assurance and internal evaluation of the quality system to the UHK authorities for their opinion,
    5. Approves the intention to submit an application for accreditation, extension of accreditation or extension of the duration of accreditation of study programmes submitted by the Rector on the proposal of the Scientific Board of the relevant faculty,
    6. Approves the study programmes submitted by the Rector on the proposal of the Scientific Board of the relevant faculty,
    7. Verifies whether the UHK requirements for the quality of educational activities in study programmes are fulfilled and evaluates them, systematically and regularly evaluates the quality of theses, proposes measures to remedy the identified shortcomings,
    8. Discusses serious changes in the implementation of the study programme compared to the approved application for accreditation,
    9. Checks the fulfilment of remedial measures in case of detected shortcomings in the implementation of the study programme and approves the abolition of adopted measures,
    10. Expresses its opinion on the suggestions submitted by the Rector for consideration or on which it decides itself to consider,
    11. Maintains continuous records of internal evaluation of the quality of educational, creative and related activities of the UHK.
  3. In exercising its powers, the Board cooperates with the other bodies of the UHK, the permanent advisory bodies of the Rector, the bodies of faculties and other parts of the UHK.
  4. The Board for the fulfilment of its competence may set up working groups or use consultants.
