Sustainable UHK

Social responsibility, including the cultivation of local and regional social and environmental space, is one of the key activities of our university. The interest of UHK is not only to support socially responsible activities concerning students, employees, and the general public but also to reflect and develop a policy leading to the promotion of values ​​and principles of social responsibility.

A working group for social responsibility and sustainable development was established at the University of Hradec Králové, RNDr. Alena Myslivcová Fučíková, Ph.D. was appointed its chairwoman.

Working group for social responsibility and sustainable development:

  • is composed of professional staff across the components, student representatives, and other UHK employees,
  • cooperates closely with all parts of UHK and other workplaces,
  • strives for a broad understanding of sustainability in the UHK environment and the evaluation of activities to develop recommendations for planned measures,
  • assesses, monitors, and issues suggestions for improving UHK activities concerning sustainable development,
  • may invite experts and other university staff to its meetings as "guests" to build cooperation and constructive discussion of the consulting topics.

Responsibility of the working group:

  • determination of the principles of UHK's sustainability policy and draft development plans,
  • creation of expert opinions and recommendations,
  • raising awareness of UHK's sustainability on campus.
