Making a modern modular system for teaching mechatronics in line with the Industry 4.0 challenge

Faculty of Science UHK

Project Description

The aim is to create a new complex system of teaching aids for vocational secondary schools and universities specialized in mechatronics, robotics, automation, digitalization, and programming. This complex teaching system will be compatible with the "Merkur Education" automated production line model and its digital control of all manufacturing processes. Certain technical universities, e.g., Cybernetics Center of the Czech Technical University, the University of Hradec Kralove, and certain companies such as Siemens, are already interested in complex mechatronics systems and want to use these systems for teaching and retraining technicians in the production process. The principles of the functionality of real sensors, modeled in a smaller version in this system, create ideal conditions for the teaching process and practical verification.
