UHK Benefit Program

The ITIC card is intended only for academic staff according to § 70 of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions. An academic staff member with an indefinite or fixed-term employment relationship is entitled to obtain an ITIC card, but in this particular case, for a minimum period of 12 months from the date of application. The ITIC card can be found at https://www.isic.cz/en/. |
All employees working three or more hours per day are entitled to a meal voucher in the form of funds paid directly to their account. |

6 Weeks Vacation for Non-academic Staff In addition to the statutory entitlement, our non-academic staff is entitled to an additional two weeks' holiday, and academic staff is entitled to the statutory eight weeks. |
Pension / Life Insurance Contribution After one year of service, the employee can contribute to a pension or life insurance. The specific terms and conditions and the contribution amount vary by the workplace. |

Higher Education Qualification A full-time employee receives a bonus of CZK 15,000 on attaining the academic Ph.D. degree, CZK 30,000 on attaining habilitation, and CZK 45,000 on being appointed professor. |
Further Professional Qualification UHK employees have the opportunity to attend various professional lectures held at UHK free of charge. |

Language Education The faculties and the Rector's Office offer their staff the opportunity to participate in free language training, which takes place in the form of courses at the faculties or the Rector's Office. For specific offers, contact your entitled department or follow the UHK website. |
Trainee Programme Opportunity An opportunity to participate in a selection procedure for a trip abroad. The usual duration of the journey is five working days. For more information, please get in touch with your unit's International Relations Office. |

Liability Insurance All members of the University's management, members of the Supervisory Board, the Board of Trustees, and employees in supervisory or managerial positions are insured by Česká pojišťovna for compensation for financial damage caused in connection with the performance of their duties as a result of misconduct. The insurance relates to the position; therefore, no arrangements need to be made to obtain the position; employees in appointed positions are insured automatically. |
Free license Microsoft 365 UHK employees may install MS Office on up to 5 private PCs, tablets, and smartphones free of charge. |

University Library UHK employees may register at the University Library and use the services free of charge. In addition, they have an extended loan period of 1 year for all titles. |
Free Parking UHK employees park free of charge in the Na Soutoku area. An employee ID is required to enter the parking lot. |

Use of a gymnasium A gymnasium is available to employees for sports activities (building H, Pivovarská flošna 296/3, Hradec Králové). |
Use of the UHK Halls of Residence Gym Employees can use the UHK Halls of Residence Gym (Palachova 1129, Hradec Králové). Before entering the fitness, register in the system reenio using your employee email and log in. After logging in, it is possible to enter reservations for specific dates freely. |

Klicpera Theatre Discount The Klicperova Theatre offers our employees discounts of 20% on admission to selected performances. The discount can be applied when buying tickets for all productions of the Klicper Theater ensemble (it cannot be combined with other discounts and does not apply to premieres, guest ensembles, subscriptions, or merchandise, but only to non-discounted tickets).
Tickets can be purchased online (select the "Benefity VŠ – UHK, UK" discount in the basket) or in advance at the Klicper Theater on Gočárova Street 479/2 in HK. Entitlement to a discount must be proven with an appropriate document when checking tickets before the show (ISIC/UHK employee ID).
The discounted college subscription that we offer with the new theater season in September and October is for students who want to have a cultural overview and spend an enjoyable time with their peers. When planning performance dates, we avoid Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and rehearsal periods. |
