The regional round of the Festival of Science and Technology for Children and Youth in Pardubice knows its winners!

On March 16 and 17, 2023, the XV. regional round of the Festival of Science and Technology for Children and Youth in the Pardubice Region, organized by the Association for Youth, Science, and Technology (AMAVET). Representatives of all faculties and the management of UHK awarded the young scientists.

The Festival of Science and Technology supports the policy of creating and developing interest in scientific and technical fields among young Czech students, to which the University of Hradec Králové proudly joins. That is why representatives of all faculties and management of UHK, including Ondřej Krejcar, Vice-Rector for Science and Creative Activities, attended the competition announcement and the prize presentation. Dean Jan Kříž represented the Faculty of Science UHK, the Faculty of Education UHK was represented by Dr. Eliška Drabinová from the Educational Research Centre, the Philosophical Faculty UHK was represented by the Vice-Dean for Science and Research, Tomáš Mangel, and the Faculty of Informatics and Management UHK was presented by the Vice-Dean for Study Affairs, Tomáš Kozel.
The UHK Vice-Rector's prize was awarded in the category "High school student" to Matěj Neumann with the OriLive project – a LORA mobile system for the wireless transmission of live results in orienteering.

Sára Janečková's winning project entitled Integration of a deaf child with a cochlear implant into the family and society was chosen by the Faculty of Education UHK.

In the "High school student" category, the project of Jan Volhejn and Jakub Kacálek Internet platform for the transport companies of the cities of the Czech Republic for visualizing the current location of public transport vehicles was awarded by the Faculty of Informatics and Management UHK.

The "Junior" category was won by Vít Rozsíval and Vojtěch Kastner with their project Crafts of past centuries. The Philosophical Faculty UHK awarded them.

The last awardee was Vojtěch Kudr with the project Optimizing the technical implementation of the cooling water cycle in school laboratories, for which the Faculty of Science UHK presented him with an award for his excellent work.
