Summer School 4 TTCAMP

From 8 to 11 June 2022, the summer school focused on Technology Transfer took place at the University of Hradec Králové as a Multiplier Event of project no. EHP-CZ-ICP-2-006 „The technology and knowledge transfer based on Norway-Czech cooperation“ in which UHK cooperates with Oslo Metropolitan University. This project benefits from a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants.

UHK got in total 48 applications from applicants from all over the world. Finally, 12 of them attended Summer School 4 TTCamp from different countries – Taiwan, Tanzania, Spain, Slovakia, Poland and Malaysia. Summer School 4 TTCamp offered the participants exciting, memorable, safe, educational experiences.

4 TTCampThe Summer School 4 TTCamp allowed participants to delve deeper into technology transfer, intellectual property and spin-off settings.

The Summer School met experts in the field of technology transfer and thus acquired unique knowledge. The lectures of Summer School 4 TTCamp led great speakers with large experiences. In addition, the Summer School 4 TTCamp contributed to practical skills training. Participants were awarded the Certificate of Attendance to confirm the obtained skills in technology and knowledge transfer. The participant got acquainted with the advanced principles of technology transfer and founding spin-off companies. They mastered the principles of proof of concept and commercialization in science and research.

4 TTCampThis Multiplier Event had an intercultural impact on the participants. They visited the city brewery and experienced local brewery technology. They had a guided tour of Hradec Králové and saw the perfect piano craftsmanship at world-famous manufacturer Petrof. The culture sharing was concluded with a cruise on the Elbe.

Part of Summer School 4 TTCamp was a site visit to the UHK laboratories.

Peer-learning activity C4 of this project in which participated employees of both universities took place concurrently with the Summer School 4 TTCamp.

The topic of Peer-learning activity C4 was directly connected with the intellectual output 4 “Methodology_Summer school_Transfer technology_Training programmes”. Given that the Peer learning activity C4 was focused on organizing the summer school, best practices, risk management budgeting and project management of this kind of event, the synergistic effects were significant. Based on the feedback from the participants of the Summer School 4 TTCamp, the set of measures and indicators for improvement were discussed within the Peer-learning activity C4.

All outputs from the discussion are directly projected into the intellectual output 4 “Methodology_Summer school_Transfer technology_Training programmes” and highly help to improve the quality of the whole output.

Based on success this year, the University of Hradec Králové will be glad to continue the organization of the technology transfer summer school for next year.
