Final State Examination Dates and Examination Topics

Based on students’ registration for the Final State Examination (SZZ) in IS/STAG for the relevant examination period, the departments assign each student a specific SZZ date.

The assigned SZZ date can be viewed in IS/STAG under: My Study – Exam Registration. This date must be confirmed with the Administrative Assistant by the deadline specified in the Academic Year Schedule for the given examination period (see the note attached to the assigned date in IS/STAG). If the student does not confirm their participation in the SZZ within the given deadline, they will be automatically deregistered from the examination. Students cannot modify the assigned date in IS/STAG (e.g. cancel or reschedule it); this is managed exclusively by the Administrative Assistant at the Department.

In the left-hand menu, under the abbreviations of each department, you will find instructions on how to confirm your SZZ date and the examination topics for the SZZ. Please pay close attention to the instructions provided by the relevant administrative assistant. The assigned SZZ date must be confirmed with the administrative assistant! By confirming the SZZ date, the student is officially registered for the examination. If the student is unable to attend the SZZ on the assigned date, they must notify the administrative assistant in advance.

The student who does not have a properly registered Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis topic in IS/STAG can be assigned neither an SZZ date nor an examination committee!

 

For the purpose of the SZZ, study programmes are assigned to the following departments:

  • programmes Applied Informatics (ai3s, ai2), Data Science (dv2), Information and Network Security (isb3)

The SZZ will be conducted at the department where the final thesis is supervised.
