Cybersecurity Laboratories

The Faculty of Informatics and Management UHK has two specialized laboratories designed for teaching and research in the field of cyber security.

Cybersecurity Educational Lab - J7 

   

 

These labs are used to simulate cyber threats and perform advanced tasks in a secure environment that is completely separate from the campus network. Isolation provides protection against malicious code leaks or test attack overflows, while allowing full authorization to test and experiment in ethical hacking.

 

The laboratories support the teaching of specialized subjects and applied research in the following areas:

  • network traffic analysis,
  • operating systems and virtualization,
  • cybersecurity and the cloud,
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • artificial intelligence (AI) methods,
  • and other modern technologies.

 

Technological equipment:

  • Powerful workstations, servers and network storage
  • Remote access devices and virtualization platforms,
  • network switches, routers, firewalls, transmitters,
  • Advanced measuring and analysis instruments
  • IoT devices (sensors, microcontrollers, Arduino, Raspberry Pi),
  • HPE Apollo HPC for compute- and graphics-intensive workloads
  • a separate circuit connected directly to the high-speed academic network CESNET.

 

The laboratories enable the creation of complex infrastructure solutions and testing of sub-system architectures. They are equipped with technologies from leading global manufacturers such as CISCO, Fortinet, HPE, VMware, Microsoft and others.
