Donations, volunteering, and support. UHK offers help to all those affected by the current situation

The University of Hradec Králové supports all humanitarian activities given the current situation in Ukraine associated with Russian aggression. It is possible to support several organizations that have the opportunity and tools to effectively distribute aid to Ukraine.

In general, people should not go to Ukraine or the Ukrainian border to help "on their own" unless they are in contact with specific people for whom they have accommodation and, ideally, work in the Czech Republic. If you organize a humanitarian fund yourself, contact organizations such as the Czech Red Cross, which has opportunities to get help to Ukraine.

Aid at UHK

The University of Hradec Králové remains in intensive contact with its Ukrainian students, to whom it is immediately ready to pay one-time financial support of CZK 10,000 and also helps coordinate accommodation for family members of students fleeing the Czech Republic before the war. Support in the form of additional and longer-term scholarship programs for students affected by the conflict is now under discussion at UHK. All students who face a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine as a result of the Russian aggression in Ukraine will receive help. UHK stands for a democratic Ukraine!

Extraordinary scholarship for students of Ukrainian nationality

Every UHK student of Ukrainian nationality has the right to apply for an extraordinary one-off scholarship of CZK 10,000 via the form form.

Accommodation offer for family members of UHK students of Ukrainian nationality

In case of need, students of Ukrainian nationality can contact the Chancellor of the UHK, Soňa Došková, regarding accommodation for family members fleeing from Ukraine before the war. For this purpose, the UHK has allocated capacities at the University Halls of Residence, or we are able to find and arrange capacities externally.

Job offers for Ukrainian citizens fleeing the war in Ukraine

The University of Hradec Králové, through its UHK Information, Counseling and Career Center, helps family members of Ukrainian students with job placement. Offers are available on a special career website. If necessary, it is also possible to contact the project center of the career center and career coach Ivana Bauerová.

Volunteering

The University of Hradec Králové collects contacts of people willing to help in any way through the form. We further distribute these contacts to organizations that directly coordinate assistance. The organizations will then contact you as needed.
