Program Description
POLITICAL SCIENCE - Double degree
About the study programme
This Political Science bachelor's programme is conducted in collaboration with the Colombian university Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali as a so-called double degree. After the first year of study at the Philosophical Faculty of UHK, students will spend the second year in Cali, Colombia, and will finish their studies after the third year again at the Philosophical Faculty of UHK in Hradec Králové. After successfully passing the final state exam, they will receive a diploma from both universities, i.e. they will be holders of a diploma from both FF UHK and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali. In addition to two diplomas, students will gain knowledge and skills from two different cultural and social environments, which is an invaluable investment for their further studies not only at UHK but also at foreign universities and in employment.
The B.A. degree may be pursued in full-time study and it is meant for students who have finished their high school education. The study is designed as an overview of political systems, political thinking, international relations, and European integration including modern history.
