Czech Science Foundation (GACR)

The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic annually calls for submission of proposals for standard, junior and bilateral projects every spring, usually in March.

The Grant Agency of the Czech Republic (GACR) provides targeted support for solving grant projects within groups of grant projects:

  • Standard grant projects
  • Junior grants
  • International grant projects (bilateral)
  • International grant projects (LA grants), which are evaluated using the “Lead Agency” principle, aim to promote international cooperation in basic research;
  • Postdoctoral projects aimed at supporting basic research projects of young researchers (new competitions are currently not announced any more)
  • Projects to promote excellence in basic research

  • Call for the submission of project proposals: usually in March
  • Competition period: 32 days
  • Evaluation period: 210 days
  • Announcement of results: November

The Philosophical Faculty has been one of the successful recipients of the subsidy for projects in the fields of political science, philosophy and historical sciences for many years.
