Blended Intensive Programmes

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are short, intensive programmes that use innovative ways of learning and teaching, including the use of online cooperation. The programmes may include challenge based learning where transnational and transdisciplinary teams work together to tackle challenges for example those linked to the societal challenges identified by regions or cities. The intensive programme should have added value compared to existing courses or trainings offered by the participating higher education institutions. Each participant should get a mobility grant from her/his sending institution: individual support: 70€ for the days 1-14 and 50€ for days 15 to 30.

 

Lithic workshop: traditional and modern approaches to the study of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic stone tools

The Lithic workshop aims to introduce and deepen the knowledge of the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic stone tools. Students will gain theoretical background on the industries in Lower, Middle and Late Palaeolithic and Mesolithic with the focus on Levant and Central Europe. The practical part will consist of flint knapping sessions, acquisition and processing of 3D scans, excursion, and more.

● Each participant should get a mobility grant from her/his sending institution: individual support is €70 per day
● Accommodation offered in the dormitories of the University of Hradec Králové

Comparative African Politics: ‘Africa is not a country’

  • Partners: Universities of L’Orientale Napoli, Science Po Bordeaux and University of Bayreuth
  • Third-year level BA, MA and PhD students, field of study: African studies and social sciences
  • Online components during spring and one-week workshop in Hradec Králové 10th - 14th July 2023
  • Different lecturers from all partner universities will offer the sessions that cover a range of topics in comparative African politics, such as language politics, party politics & elections, local governance, bilateral international relations, and the politics of justice. The course will focus on the variance of political structures, processes, and policies across the African continent and the respective origins and explanations for this variance. The seminar invites students with a knowledge base in African Studies or the social sciences to participate. Lecturers will address the selected topics in a way that both, participants interested in an intensive overview of African politics and those who want to dive deeper into specific topic shall all be satisfied.

Archaeological excavations in Bohemian Paradise (2022)
