Academic Calendar

A regular academic year lasts from the end of September to June, although the dates differ slightly each year. There are two semesters each year: the winter semester that ends before Christmas, and the summer semester which begins during the second week in February and ends in May. Each semester is followed by a five-week exam period.

Apart from the public holidays there are two major vacation periods during each academic year: Christmas vacation in December and summer vacation during July and August.
