ERASMUS STUDENT MOBILITIES-ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND APPLICATIONS:

Students wishing to study at the Faculty of Education, under the Erasmus + Programme must first be officially nominated by the sending institution.

The sending institution must have a valid Erasmus+ Inter-institutional Agreement with the Faculty of Education.                       

Only students from partner institutions can be accepted (see the list of inter-institutional agreements)!                                                                                      The sending institution will send a nomination list in a due time to the following e-mail address: petra.noskova@uhk.cz

FOR STAY IN THE 1ST/WINTER TERM (OR FULL ACADEMIC YEAR):

VISA and non-European students:                                                                                 15 May, 2024

EU/non-VISA students:                                                                                                    31 May, 2024

 

FOR STAY IN THE 2ND TERM/SUMMER TERM:

VISA and non-European students:                                                                             31 October, 2024

2ND TERM/SUMMER TERM:                                                                                  

Classes period: 10 February, 2025 - 9 May, 2025

Examination period: 12 May, 2025 - 27 June, 2025

Erasmus + Learning Agreement for Studies (since 2023/24 digital or the OLA version should be sent via the EWP)

 

 

MANDATORY ATTACHMENTS:

A transcript of study records  (a list of the modules you have studied at your home university, with their results)

1 photograph ( size of photograph 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm, front-side passport format, in jpg or pdf file)

A copy of the student´s national or citizenship identity card (=EU students) or passport identification page (VISA and non-EU students)

A copy of student´s European Health Insurance Card "EHIC"( EU students only)

Declaration of the personal data provided („GDPR“ declaration)

 

1 month before arrival (ONLY VISA/non-EU students):

Copy of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Contract (if not already provided)

Copy of the visa (if available)

 

Only documents that are signed and sent by email as colour scans will be accepted.

(if you need to send them by post, you are free to do so).

If the documents are incomplete, you will be asked to correct and complete them.

This may delay of the enrolment/application process. 

 

Once the student has successfully completed the application processe, she/he will receive a Letter of Admission, an approved Learning agreement  and further instructions.

STUDIES:

Th student is obliged to choose and set up the study plan from the FoE Course Catalogue 2024/25 and the UHK Course Catalogue 2024/25 for the respective semester (only these courses are intended for Erasmus students and are taught in English, part of them in French, German or Russian).

Students can select whole modules and combine them with specific courses, or they can create their study plan by selecting different courses from modules according to their educational background and field of study.

Note, that the student is enrolled in the Faculty of Education, so at least 75% of the courses must be selected from the Faculty of Education offer.

Please, note, that Erasmus+ students must enrol in courses of a minimum of 20 ECTS, and a maximum of 30 ECTS.

 

ACCOMMODATION:

We provide accommodation for students in the UHK Palachova Halls of Residence only upon request.

The student must tick the box on the Student Application and Accommodation form and send it in on time.

Student stays in a triple room (in exceptional cases a double room) in a two-room apartment with shared facilities (bathroom, toilet, kitchen).

There are no single rooms available!

The rent for the room varies between 100 and 127 CZK per night, i.e. 3000 and 3800 CZK (= 125-155 EUR) per month+ refundable deposit of 2000 CZK (=82 EUR).

We do not provide any other accommodation. If the student prefers private accommodation, we can provide some useful information/links.

 

BUDDY:

All incoming students have the possibility to “order” a buddy student, who will look after them, who will help them with the first steps of their exchange stay (enrolment, pick-up from the airport or train/bus station, accompaniment to the Residence, provision of a city card, etc.)

Once accepted, students will receive a link to register on the ESN buddy online platform "Artemis".

 

VISA:

A student from some Erasmus+ programme and partner countries (e.g. Turkey) must apply for a visa in order to be approved for his/her exchange stay in the Czech Republic. Students who are accepted, will receive official admission documents for the purpose iof applying for a visa.

 

INSURANCE:

The student from non-EU country is obliged to take out Comprehensive Health Insurance for Foreigners, valid for the entry into the CZ.                            The minimum coverage must be 400 000 EUR per insured event without any co-insurance or deductible.

The student can take it out in with any insurance company operating in the Czech Republic! (e.g. PVZP, Slavia, UNIQA, etc.)
