The Faculty of Education at the University of Hradec Králové (Czech Republic) announces the upcoming Summer School 2026, titled Innovative Minds: Czech Language, Art, and Technology, which will take place from 13 July to 12 August 2026 in Hradec Králové.

The summer school offers an interdisciplinary programme combining Czech language learning with hands-on experiences in art, design, and digital technology. Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with traditional and contemporary artistic techniques, create visual and motion-based projects, and explore Czech culture in an international learning environment.

The programme is open to students and young professionals interested in art, technology, creativity, and cultural exchange, as well as to those who are simply curious to explore new forms of creative expression. Key topics include Czech language, music and culture, traditional graphic techniques, crafting hats, animation, plen air drawing, artistic intervention in public space, and the fundamentals of art therapy.

The summer school will be held in Hradec Králové, a historic yet vibrant university city located approximately 100 km east of Prague. The participation fee is EUR 1,000, with a reduced fee of EUR 900 for students from partner universities of the Faculty of Education UHK. The fee includes accommodation in a student residence, teaching classes, excursions, free-time activities, teaching materials and equipment, and support from local student assistants.

Applications are open until 30 April 2026. Interested applicants are invited to register online via the application form. Detailed information about the programme will be published during the spring. Stay tuned!
