The publication "Inter-regional contacts during the first millennium BC in Europe" contains selected papers, presented as papers in the same section at the European Association of Archaeologists in Pilsen in September 2013. The contributions do not only relate to traditionally devised schemes in terms of the relations between the developed Mediterranean and Transalpine Europe.

The book consists of two parts. In the first one is presented the transformation of literary production, which concerns the first years of integration of Silesia with the Crown of the Czech Kingdom. This review includes works from the 14th century to 2010 and attempts to explain why the generations of historians did not want to understand the fundamental political issues that this event has brought with it. The second part investigates the causes of such a strong presence of the Czech state symbolism in the public space of Wrocław in the middle of the 14th century.

Publications offering an extraordinary insight into the history of Auxiliary Historical Sciences at the beginning of the 21st century are presented by experts from various European countries - the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Serbia. The chapters, written in English or German, devote themselves primarily to the individual auxiliary sciences of history, but also to the historical research itself thorough knowledge and analysis of sources.

The book is a set of several texts in which the issue of identity is developed in connection with the current situation in the post-colonial countries of Africa. The introduction to the book analyzes some theoretical approaches and problems of this term. Subsequently, text makers process the issue of identity linked to the political situation in Congo, Somalia, Ethiopia and other African countries.
