Flag Food Contest - Results

Thank you to all who participated in our contest. Now it is time to announce the winners!

Like the last year, we went through the flags sent to us by our students. Since there were basically two categories - Czech students and our exchange students, we decided to select the best from both. And here are the results:

Exchange students: Valentina from Ghana (Erasmus International Credit Mobility)

The original meaning behind the Flag of Ghana lies in its colours.
Red represents the blood of those who died in the country's struggle for independence. (Bell peppers)
Gold/Yellow represents the mineral wealth of the country. (Rice)
Green represents the country's rich forest. (Bell pepper)
The Black Star stands for the lodestar of African Freedom/Pan-Africanism. (Black olives)

Czech students: Anna

Healthy Czech flag. Since most of our traditional food is quite heavy and big amounts of it might be considered unhealthy, I've decided to make a healthy alternative. For my snack, I simply used some blueberries for the blue wedge, raspberries for the red bottom line and yoghurt for the white upper line.

So congratulations! The winners, of course, deserve their promised prize, but do not worry, we actually prepared something small for all of the participants! You can pick it up at the International office in building E.
