SUMMER SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS
SUMMER SCHOOL OF MATHEMATICAL PHYSICS
12 July – 12 August 2026
Academic Overview
The Summer School of Mathematical Physics offers an intensive programme of advanced lectures exploring key topics at the intersection of mathematics and theoretical physics. Participants will gain insight into modern concepts such as homological methods in mathematical physics, Yang–Mills theory, quantum graphs and their spectral properties, holonomy groups in differential geometry, and geometric approaches in mechanics and numerical methods. The programme also touches on selected topics from gravitational physics, including black holes and thermodynamics. Alongside the academic programme, participants will be introduced to selected aspects of Czech language, culture, and historical heritage.
Programme Structure
- 4 teaching days per week (Monday to Thursday)
- Opening Ceremony and introductory city tour at the beginning of the programme
- Each week, you'll learn the essentials of the Czech language, culture, and historical heritage
- Guided excursions to local attractions every Wednesday
