First academic visit under the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme, academic year 2025/26

Prof. Mohamed Darma Rizal Khairiree from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Thailand, was welcomed at the Faculty of Informatics and Management last week. As a member of the College of Hospitality Industry Management, he delivered lectures to students on topics in his field, including “Southeast Asian Cultures”, “Southeast Asia as a Region and ASEAN”, and “Fundamentals of Tourism”. His enthusiasm for working with students was evident.

In addition to the lectures, several meetings were held with colleagues and the Vice-Dean for International Relations, Prof. Blanka Klímová, to discuss ongoing and future cooperation, especially in the area of student and academic staff exchanges.

The programme also included a tennis match with Prof. Zelenka from the Department of Recreology and Tourism.

Overall, the visit aimed to combine valuable professional activities with time to become acquainted with Hradec Králové and to participate in leisure activities.

And how does Mr. Khairiree evaluate his visit to the university?

I would like to express a strong and positive endorsement of this partnership, recognising it as an exemplary model of international academic cooperation. Also, it is noted that the Erasmus+ mobility initiative has provided valuable opportunities for both faculty members and students to engage in meaningful academic exchange, collaborative research, and intercultural learning experiences. Such initiatives have not only enhanced individual professional competencies but have also strengthened institutional capacity and global engagement.

From the recent mobility program assessment, I would like to emphasise that the collaboration has yielded measurable outcomes in promoting shared initiatives, curriculum development, and cooperation. The sustained interaction between the two universities has fostered mutual understanding, academic enrichment, and a deeper appreciation of cultural diversity—key elements that contribute to the broader objectives of the Erasmus+ program and to the advancement of international education as a whole.

Also, lastly, I. believe that the ongoing cooperation between the University of Hradec Králové, the Czech Republic and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Thailand. It will continue to serve as a benchmark for successful transnational academic collaboration and will inspire future initiatives of similar scope and ambition.
