The 3rd year of the Blended Intensive Program

Date of Event: 06/02/2025
It was our pleasure to welcome students in the 3rd year of the international education event called Blended Intensive Program (BIP) organized within the Erasmus+ project.
In general, this program for students combines online learning and a physical part. This year, the online lectures took place on 5th, 12th and 19th May and the face-to-face part lasted 5 days (from 26th until 30th May, 2025) in Hradec Králové. The students´ interest in taking part was huge and we hosted 25 participants coming from Austria, Poland and Romania. The topic “International Studies” gave students the opportunity to introduce their country from different perspectives to other students and sometime, their presentations were followed by an interesting discussion.
One of our main goals was to introduce the Czech Republic to the students, to show them our culture, history, traditions but also new, modern and open approach.
The program was really busy and they visited many places in Hradec Králové (Bílá věž, Drak theathre, Jirásek Park), Prague and Kutná Hora city.
They had the opportunity to get to know one of our long tradition of handmade production of blown glass beads and Christmas bead ornaments in RAUTIS firm. This excursion was followed by workshop and students could try to make their own decoration.
We hope that they had enjoyed the whole week in Hradec Králové and we are looking forward to the next year.
And what do students think about BIP and how do they evaluate it?
Nelli: The trips were amazing." It's a pity there wasn't more time for them. And at the same time, I must highlight Professor Pikart's lecture. It was clear that he really enjoyed the topic, which was great. I would gladly welcome even more lessons.
Andrei: This is my first experience with a study abroad program like BIP, and at the same time, it's my first time in the Czech Republic, and I'm really enjoying it." Especially Prague has really enchanted me.
Paweł: Thank you very much for organizing the BIP. It was a valuable and enriching experience that allowed us to grow both academically and personally. We truly appreciated the opportunity to work in an international environment, share perspectives, and learn from experts and students from various countries. While there were a few minor organizational issues, the overall structure of the program was well-balanced. We especially valued the thoughtful mix of lectures, workshops, and cultural activities. This balance gave us the chance not only to deepen our knowledge but also to explore Czech culture and history in a meaningful way. Thank you again for your effort and warm hospitality. We would definitely recommend this BIP to future participants.
