New Semester, New Faces: International Students Join FIM for 2025/26

A welcome meeting for international students who will study at the Faculty of Informatics and Management (FIM) in the 2025/2026 academic year took place on Friday, 19 September 2025.

Sixty-eight students representing four continents and sixteen countries were welcomed. These figures reflect how multicultural and open FIM is. This diversity will also provide a valuable opportunity for Czech students, who will meet their international peers in classes and get to know them better. A total of eight students from Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, and the United States have started their studies through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program, which is greatly appreciated.

Along with the short-term students, we also welcomed full-time students in Bachelor´s and Master´s degree.

In total 21 students have started studying at FIM in this academic year.

I chose the Faculty of Informatics and Management at the University of Hradec Králové for my Master's journey because I was looking for a place that combines quality education with an international atmosphere. The study program fits perfectly with my interests, especially my academic backgrounds, and I really appreciate that the faculty encourages students to apply what they learn in practice. What also mattered to me was the international environment and the welcoming atmosphere — it’s easy to feel at home here in Hradec Králové, which makes studying and living here a very positive experience.

Why did one of the international students choose FIM for their full-time studies?
