New International Students at FIM in the Summer Semester 2026

The new international students, who are going to study at the Faculty of Informatics and Management, have just arrived to Hradec Králové.

It was our pleasure to Welcome them in person on Friday, February 6, 2026 during the Welcome meeting.

A total of 54 students from all over the world chose our faculty as their „home“ for this summer semester.  They are coming from Brazil, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, and the United States of America. Among European countries, the highest number of students comes from Spain, France, Turkey, Romania, and Slovakia.

The first week was mainly dedicated to helping students become familiar with their new environment, the university, and the city of Hradec Králové. We met the students in person at the Welcome Meeting, where they received important information about their studies, the organisation of the semester and practical matters related to their stay in the Czech Republic.

They tested their knowledge in a fun Kahoot quiz.

And why did they choose our faculty?

Maria Agnes:

I chose FIM and UHK because I really wanted to be out of my comfort zone during my exchange program. I had other opportunities of going to countries more similar with Brasil, but I wanted to challenge myself and meet new things, in a new language, with new habits and new people. FIM is an amazing faculty and I am super excited about the classes and the experiences that the university is offering to me.

Jui-Han:

My reason for choosing UHK is I think the courses here are very suitable for exchange students. There are many English-taught courses in different fields that can help us gain new knowledge and broaden our horizons. In addition, we can meet people from different countries and share our cultures with other students.

Pei-Ming:

I chose the Faculty of Informatics and Management because it combines informatics and management, which fits well with my academic background in data analytics and business. I am also very interested in the international environment at FIM and the opportunity to study in English while learning more about Central European culture. I believe studying at FIM will help me broaden my academic perspective and gain valuable international experience.

SHU-YUAN:

I chose FIM because of its strong academic reputation and practical learning environment.I’m excited to study here and gain international experience.

CHIH-LIN:

I’m so happy that I can be a member of FIM, so excited to learn everything about informatics management.
