Intersection of Minds: The 2nd Hradec Králové International Physics Days!

The 2nd Hradec Králové International Physics Days, hosted by the Faculty of Science University of Hradec Králové on 12-13 October 2023, concluded on a successful note. This hybrid conference, welcoming participants both in person and online.

Under the distinguished honorary chairmanship of Jan Kříž, the dean of the Faculty of Science UHK, the conference was sectioned into two pivotal streams:

  • Theoretical and Mathematical Physics
  • and Experimental and Applied Physics.

This division allowed for a comprehensive coverage of topics, fostering both theoretical insights and practical applications.

The event saw a satisfactory turnout, with a blend of physicists, researchers, academicians, and students from various corners of the globe.

For instance, an inspiring lecture on "Physics Education and Research at Istanbul University" was delivered by Gurkan Celebi. He provided insights into the pedagogical approaches and research methodologies adopted at this institution. Prof. Miloslav Znojil intrigued the audience with his exploration of "Quantum Gravity via Two Wheeler-DeWitt Equations." Following this, Ulas Saka, Soroush Zare, Narges Heidari, and Bekir Can Lütfüoglu presented their recent discoveries on black hole physics, thermodynamics, and shadows, offering a deeper understanding of these complex phenomena.

Jan Loskot highlighted the intricate details of "Microanalyses of 3D-printed products made of thermoplastics by the hot-melt extrusion method." Kishore Kumar’s examination of "Low-cost copper thiocyanate as an alternate hole-transport material for perovskite solar cells" was enlightening.

Andrii Khrabustovskyi's insights into the "Neumann Sieve Problem Revisited," Paweł Świec's study on "Nanocrystalline NiTi alloys produced by cold rolling in the martensitic state," and Ali Askari's delve into the "Scattering and bound states for the Coulomb potential with Dunkl operator in 3-dimensions" added further depth to the event's academic richness, among a plethora of other intriguing lectures.

This conference has undoubtedly amplified the international stature of the Department of Physics Faculty of Science UHK. It has fostered invaluable international relations and contacts, setting the stage for future collaborative endeavors.
