The publishing house of Masaryk University Munipress just released a comprehensive monograph „Subject Didactics: Development - Situation – Perspectives“, in which a broad team of authors worked prof. PhDr. Martin Bílek, Ph.D., leader of Faculty of Science UHK research team Didactics of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Informatics.
Subject didactics are focused on specific dimension of teaching and learning in and outside school. Their agenda ranges from defining and justifying targets departmental teaching and learning through the selection, legitimize and didactic content transformation methodology to structure the learning process. Czech education problem is that subject didactics with us not for a long time with proper entitlements systematically cultivated. Yet they develop into relatively distinctive disciplines, as evidenced by a book published in edition of Accreditation Commission members Prof. I. Stuchlíková and Assoc. Prof. T. Janik, whose aim is to give insight into the development and status of subject didactics in the Czech Republic and outline prospects for their future direction.
