TRARCHER Cooperative Partnership
As part of the Erasmus+ KA2 action, the partnership focused on the development of an innovative, immersive, and participatory curriculum in archaeological heritage, supported by a dedicated digital learning platform. Bringing together experts from archaeology, history, art history, anthropology, sociology, applied IT, natural sciences, and business management, the partnership advanced transdisciplinary education and professional practice in heritage management.
The project was successfully completed at the end of December 2025.

About the project
The main outcome of the project is a student-centred curriculum built on transnational and transdisciplinary approaches, applying innovative teaching methods designed to better meet students’ learning needs and enhance their future career prospects. The curriculum is strongly supported by digital tools, including a dedicated online platform, which enables flexible, interactive, and inclusive learning in the field of archaeological heritage and its management.
With four participatory workshops integrated into the project, students, academics, and professionals were able to engage in research-based learning, test new methods, and provide feedback. This iterative process helped refine the curriculum and will continue to inform the development of teaching practices and resources, ensuring the project’s results remain relevant and applicable for future education and professional training.
Survey on Archaeological Heritage and Historical Landscape
As part of the TRARCHER project, we conducted an international survey focused on archaeological heritage and historical landscape management. The questionnaire explored how students, professionals, and other stakeholders perceive archaeological heritage, its preservation, its role in local identity, and the use of digital technologies in heritage education and management.
The survey consisted of six thematic sections covering attitudes towards heritage preservation, community involvement, valorisation of archaeological sites, and the role of ICT tools in heritage management and education. Participation was voluntary and anonymous, and the research was conducted in accordance with ethical standards. The results provide indicative insights into current perceptions and current challenges in archaeological heritage management and education.
