You can choose from 4 different Summer Schools:
- Aspects of Representation Theory
- Holonomy Groups in Pseudo-Riemannian Geometry

- Acquire both theoretical and hands-on knowledge in Dendrology, Cell Cycle, Lichenology, Ecology, Microbiology, Human Biomonitoring, and Palynology
- Explore the fascinating world of ants and bees in their natural habitat, and understand the strategies to enhance biodiversity in human-altered environments
- Discover the impact of food-borne mycotoxins on human health
- Transform into a budding researcher, capable of collecting biological samples in the field, conducting laboratory analysis, and evaluating data using simple yet effective statistical techniques
- Unleash your inner photographer by capturing pollen from your favorite flower using state-of-the-art microscopy techniques
- Develop both theoretical and practical understanding of the physics behind measured quantities
- Acquire expertise in designing a fundamental sensor system through hands-on experience
- Master the skills to develop hardware and software for IoT sensor systems
- Design and create your own innovative smart solution
- Familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of signal and data processing
- Remember, if it flashes it's working properly, but if it smokes, something is amiss
- Acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge in the basics of Toxicology, including the Toxicology of Inorganic and Organic Compounds, Natural Compounds, and Sampling and Separation Methods
- Get hands-on experience by isolating, analyzing, and testing your first toxin
- Master the art of curing poisonings
- Emerge as a multitalented science enthusiast, as versatile as a gecko
General information
- Schedule: 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday)
- Benefit from expert-led lectures and practical sessions in modern laboratories and facilities
- Start with an opening ceremony and a city tour, and celebrate the end of the Summer School with a closing ceremony and farewell party
- Each week, you'll learn the essentials of the Czech language, culture, and historical heritage
- Join weekly guided tours to local attractions on Wednesdays
- Earn 6 ECTS credits upon successful completion of the programme

Who can apply
- Students of bachelor and masters programmes.
Costs and fees
- Entrance fee CZK 2,500 (approx. 110 EUR)
- Provided by FoS UHK: accomodation, lectures, Certificate of Attendance, guided city tour (4 entrance fees) and guides for trips, opening and closing ceremony, farewel party
- Not included: transport, food, optional trips and entrance fees, costs for obtaining passport, visa or other travel documents, insurance etc.

Accommodation
- Provided for free at the student dormitories.
- Rooms for 2–3 people with shared bathroom and equiped shared kitchen.
- Laundry rooms with washing machines available.
