There is a regular bus as well as a train connection between Prague and Hradec Králové. Perhaps the bus is a more convenient way of getting to Hradec Králové. The journey takes about two hours. Some trains are direct but the majority require a change in Pardubice.
The bus and railway station in Hradec Králové are located at the same place and then you can use public buses or taxi to get to FIM or directly to your accommodation.
Some students prefer to come by car. There is a very good road network in the Czech Republic and you will have no problems to reach Hradec Králové from any border crossing point. However, car owners should realise that parking might be a problem and that expensive cars and car radios are attractive items for thieves.
